WA700-8 Loader: The Latest Member of Komatsu’s Wheel Loader Family for Mining Operations and Building Material Production
Komatsu proudly unveiled its latest wheel loader, the WA700-8 model, designed as a powerful and efficient addition to its range of wheel loaders. This machine is specifically intended for mining operations and building material manufacturers. The WA700-8 is ideally suited for loading 70-ton trucks, such as the new HD605-10 model from Komatsu, in four cycles. It shows significant advancements in performance, efficiency, and operator comfort compared to its predecessor, the WA700-3 model.
Compared to the previous generation, the new WA700-8 offers 8% more net power and 15% higher torque, making it a reliable choice for harsh working environments. Additionally, it features a 6% increase in lifting force and load capacity, allowing operators to move larger volumes of material, while the 8% improvement in fuel consumption significantly reduces operational costs.
The WA700-8’s comfortable cabin is equipped with advanced technologies, including a new electro-hydraulic steering system and electronic control levers. These features help reduce operator fatigue during long shifts. Automated systems such as automatic digging, semi-automatic approaching, and unloading simplify repetitive tasks and optimize loading cycles. These features are particularly useful for less experienced operators and enhance overall operational efficiency.
The loader is equipped with an advanced variable traction control system that prevents tire slip on tough terrains and enhances safety in wet conditions. Its adjustable clutch system provides precise control for smooth transitions between forward and reverse gears. Additionally, the KomVision camera system offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding environment for the operator, while the Komtrax Plus smart system allows for remote monitoring and operational data analysis to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
